@alanckaye I forgot - if you’re applying the hotspot mixture with the spray bottles (3 or 4 squirts at a time) just let the spot air dry - DO NOT dab it dry - the more you mess with the spot the worse you’ll make it, itchy wise - so trim the area, clean it and then apply the mixture several times a day and try to help keep your dogs mind off messing with the area so that it’ll have time to heal on its own
@alanckaye I spray the solution directly on the hotspot (after I have clipped it down as much as possible). You want the area to be able to breathe otherwise it won’t heal properly but you don’t want to drown it with this treatment either.
3 or 4 squirts directly on the hotspot from the spray bottles is plenty several times a day. Just make sure the spray bottle is using the wide area spray nozzle not the single line spray because that would hurt too.
my golden retriever has one about every week. poor girl has a nasty one now. the vet charges 100 bucks every time and says keep it dry gives a 30 buck small container of powder. how do you apply the anticeptic wash? after applying the other things should you pat it dry? thanks for the video. I’m headed to cvs right now.
I own a Bichon and she get these hotspots ever so often. I would cut her hair, but everytime her hair grows back the hot spot comes back. Is there anyway to avoid the hotspots coming back? Thanks for this vid
